Snowflake brush set, made from images of actual snowflakes by Wilson Bentley in the late 1800/early 1900's. Aren't they lovely? Truly amazing variety in shapes!

I have provided 50 different flakes, they are shown only 30% of their original size in the preview. He took more than 200 photos and I tried to pick out the best of the images I could find.

I spent an entire morning creating this brush set because I wanted snowflakes that looked real, ready to use. These images are not copyrighted and are in the public domain, free for anyone to use, BUT please comment here or note me if you use this brush, I would like to see what's been done with them! Favorite-ing them would work too, and it would let me know they are liked.

DO NOT redistribute as your own! Credit in the artist's comments is a must!

EDIT: gray scale set available here ([link]) (ie, allows one to chose the color of the snowflake, instead of having it automatically be white)

just click the download button on the top right! add the brushes to your "brushes" folder and they should load up into GIMP automatically after a restart/refresh. let me know if you have any more q's!
