Artist's Comments

I believe this is the female Cerval, or African wildcat, because it was the smaller of the two.

The Savannah is a hybrid domestic cat breed. It is a cross between an African wild cat called the Cerval and a domestic cat. The original cross was probably for people who wanted a more exotic looking pet cat. This photo is of a pure bred Cerval, actually from Africa.

oookay.....but shouldn't you be asking for permission before posting other's photos in your article? it's flattering that you chose my photo, but i'd appreciate it if you asked first next time, or at least put my name in photo credits at the bottom of the article, if not next to the photo. i'm sure others feel the same.

however, it is nice that the photo still links back to my page. and i appreciate the publicity, especially since it is coming from such an informative article. so thank you, but maybe give more notice next time!

Everyone has the right to say NO ;) - if the appearance of the photo is not wanted.

I am glad though you like it nonetheless!
Thanks a lot!
