For Poseidon's Daughter

I've had these purple teardrops for some time now, and finally came up with an appropriate design for them! I'm thinking about making some matching earrings, but haven't quite figured out the design yet.... Their shape reminds me of fish tails, and I went from there for the title of the piece. Can't you picture a Nereid wearing this?!

This is a layered design, incorporating a couple different beadwoven stitches. I've also entered it into a beading contest - we'll see if anything comes of it... I figure I can't possibly win if I don't enter!
